i suspect

we both understand that we need to be stung over and over again to get the honey.

this doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt each time,

and it doesn’t mean that we dont (often) push and hurt and fight just because it can be ever so

exhausting.

but i know.

and i suspect you know too.

and my skin can take it,

even though i cry.

The advent of autumn has changed everything.

This is terrifying, but feels really good too.

I’ve had my window for the last 5 days, and feeling the real air on my skin has meant a lot.

There are people screaming and laughing below my window–they can feel it too.

I spent most of the day next to the open window, listening to music, tearing a book apart because that seemed like the right thing to do.

I reached out, but I just caught air.

+my dreams have been hyper-vivid,

and i can’t shake them when i wake up,

my eyes are coated with vaseline and my skin is feeling everything too deeply.
